Share your pet’s Lost Pet Report with Petco Love Lost

By sharing your pet’s profile with the National Animal Shelter Network, you're giving shelters and rescue organizations across the country the ability to help bring your pet back home. This partnership is another way we’re working together to provide peace of mind and a national network dedicated to reuniting lost pets with their families.

How to Share Your Profile with the National Animal Shelter Network:

You can easily opt in to share your pet’s profile with the National Animal Shelter Network in one of three ways:

1. When Signing Up for Your DocuPet Account:

  • During the sign-up process, you will be asked if you would like to share your pet’s profile. Simply check the box:
    "I would like to share my profile with the National Animal Shelter Network so they can reunite me with my pets if they become lost."
  • Once you check the box, you’re all set to be part of the network!

2. Through Your DocuPet Profile Settings:

Already a DocuPet member? No worries, you can easily update your settings anytime:

  • Log into your DocuPet account and click on the "Account" button in the top right corner.
  • Select "Profile Settings" from the dropdown menu.

    • Scroll down and check the box next to "I would like to share my profile with the National Animal Shelter Network so they can reunite me with my pets if they become lost."

3. When Filing a Lost Pet Report:

If the unfortunate happens and your pet goes missing, you can opt in to share your profile when filing a lost pet report:

  • Log into your DocuPet account and click on the "My Pets" tab at the top.
  • Select your pet from the list on the left side.
  • Click on "Report Pet Lost."

  • Before submitting the lost pet report, ensure that you have an updated and clear photo of your pet on file.

  • Complete the lost pet report form and click Submit to send your report.

  • On the next screen, check the box that says: "I give permission to share the above profile information with Petco Love Lost."

  • Click Allow to confirm and help reunite your pet.

Keeping an up-to-date photo of your pet is one of the best ways to increase the chances of being reunited. Petco Love Lost’s photo-matching technology works best with clear, recent pictures of your pet.
