License Expiration Dates
Pet owners can login to their online account and check the expiration date of any pet licenses tied to the account.
This way you can be sure to stay up to date on any upcoming renewals. Although, you’ll certainly hear from us if one is coming due via email and mail.
Steps to check license expiration date
1. Select your country at docupet.com
2. Click “Log in” in the upper right corner with your email address and password
3. Click on your pet's name on the left hand side or “My Pets” at the top of the page
4. Half way down the page there will be a ‘Licensing’ section where you can see when the license expires as well as downloading your license proof.
Each city and county operate on their own individual licensing program.
Some cities work on a calendar year basis. For example, licenses expire on December 31st regardless of when the license was purchased throughout the year. Other cities have opted to provide licenses that expire exactly 365 days from the start date of the license. Some even expire in tandem with a pet’s rabies vaccination expiration. For questions about local licensing rules and program details, please contact your community provider directly.
Note that in some cases documentation may be required prior to renewing a license. Please see your city or county's licensing requirements, including mandatory documentation by visiting the “Licensing” tab of your community’s DocuPet website.
