How do I order a replacement tag?
Lost your pet’s tag? No worries – we’re here to help you replace it quickly and easily!

Note: Replacement tag prices are set by your licensing community. Shipping: Tags are sent through letter mail and usually take between 15-20 business days to arrive (depending on your mail carrier). In busy seasons, your order may take up to 30 business days to arrive. |
Step 1: Log in to your community’s DocuPet website
- In Canada: visit Find Your License Community, enter your postal code, click "Search", then click "Log In" at the top
- In the US: visit Find Your License Community, enter your zip code, click "Search", then click "Log In" at the top
Step 2: If you have multiple pets, click on the pet whose tag needs to be replaced
Step 3: Under the Licensing section, click on “Order Replacement License Tag”
Step 4: Choose a standard tag or a designer tag
Step 5: Tag options
- Choose a small or large tag
- Personalize your tag - add your pet’s name and your phone number (optional, additional charge)
- Choose your connector
- Create and add a Wallet Card (optional, additional charge)
- Click “Add to Basket”
Step 6: Review your Basket then click “Checkout”
- Note that a small processing fee may be applied to your replacement tag purchase
Step 7: Add a donation (optional)
- Click “No Donation Today, Thanks - Continue” to proceed
Step 8: Enter your payment information

Note: you have the option to save your info through Link for a faster checkout process in the future. If you do not wish to save your payment info, ensure the email and phone number fields are left blank
- Link is an external payment partner that is not exclusive to DocuPet. Saving payment info with Link will allow easier payments for users across all Link partners.
- Click "Place Your Order"
All done! You’ll receive an email confirmation to the email address on file. Please allow 15-20* business days for your order to arrive. You can check your order status or view the receipt by clicking on “Account” at the top of the page, then “Order History”.

Mobile Device Guide
Step 1: From your community’s DocuPet website, tap on the three horizontal lines in the top left, then tap on “Log In”
Step 2: If you have multiple pets, tap on the pet whose tag needs to be replaced
Step 3: Scroll down to the Licensing section and tap on “Order Replacement License Tag”
Step 4: On the next screen, tap on “Order Replacement License Tag”
- To order a designer tag, tap on “Shop for a Designer Tag”
Step 5: Select your tag options
- Tag size - small or large
- Personalization - add your pet’s name and your phone number to the back of the tag (optional, additional charge)
- Connector - choose from our selection of tag connectors
- Tap on “Add to Basket” to continue
Step 6: Review your Basket, then tap “Checkout”
